Hunyady László, a MÉT elnökéhez, érkezett kérésnek megfelelően tájékoztatjuk a tagságot az alábbi álláslehetőségekről:
Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are available in cellular signaling and drug discovery research in the laboratories of Prof. Gabor Tigyi at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Memphis. The first project investigates the molecular mechanisms of the antiapoptotic action of lysophospholipid G protein-coupled receptors through the assembly of a macromolecular signalosome (J. Biol. Chem. 282, 37759-69.; J. Biol. Chem. 284:14558-71; Brit. J. Pharmacol. 161:241-70). This line of research examines the molecular interactions underlying the binding of the proapoptotic Siva-1 and the antiapoptotic TRIP6 to the lysophosphatidic acid receptor 2 and the mechanisms with which these signals regulate the NFkB prosurvival and DNA repair pathways. The ideal candidate should have experience with transfection, co-immunoprecipitation, immunocytology, and mutagenesis techniques.
The second project focuses on rational drug design and high-throughput screening for ligands of the LPA2 and LPA5 receptors (Bioorg. Med. Chem. 17:7457-64; Cell Signal. 22:1543-53; Mol.Cell. 39, 421-432). The ideal candidate should have experience working in any or a combination of the following areas of GPCR, cell-based assay development, maintenance and breeding of transgenic mice, radiation biology, or signal transduction research.
The Department of Physiology at UTHSC is ranked third in North-America by the American Physiological Society and offers an outstanding research environment in the 17th largest metropolis in the USA.
